Lets Gamble: 11/22/23

Happy pre Thanksgiving eve everyone. This time of year is about friends, family, and food. Lets not forget though whats really important though. There are a ton of great sporting events going on. The world cup, college basketball has the Maui invitational, Maction!?!?! Lets gamble.

FIFA World Cup

I dont know anything about soccer. Do not bet with me here.

MACtion

Ball St (+2) @ Miami (OH) O/U 45

Two teams not particularly good at defense that are playing for bowl eligibility. Also this is a trophy game, the Redbird Trophy. Classic MACtion. 45 is not a lot of points lets just do that. Miami (OH) is also fresh off a win against NIU and at home.

TAKE: Miami (-2) and O 45

Bowling Green (+7) @ Ohio O/U 55

QB Kurtis Rourke is the big difference maker here, but he was hurt last week. He is probably the best player in the MAC and if he plays this ones probably pretty easy. This is for the MAC East and a chance to go to the MAC championship. Im gonna ride with the Ohio Bobcats to win this one.

TAKE: Ohio (-7) and O 55

Overall NCAAF Record: 53-49-1

College Basketball

Ohio State (-3.5) @ Cincinnati (Maui Invitational)

Ohio State is going to come into form in this tournament. Cincinnati is on a two game losing streak heading into this including a 13 point loss to Northern Kentucky. Do you even know Northern Kentuckys mascot? Its the “Norse” (sidenote: “The Northmen” was a pretty good movie). Lets hope this is Ohio States biggest win of the week.

TAKE: OSU -3.5

Vermont (+0.5) @ Yale

Yale is 5-0 and Vermont is 1-4. Im not sure if im missing something here? Just on principle Yale

TAKE: Yale -0.5

Creighton (-1.5) @ Arkansas (Maui Invitational)

Arkansas is loaded with young talent and led by Mizzou transfer Trevon Brazille. Creighton is a very balanced team that shoots the 3 very well. South Dakota State transfer Baylor Scheiermen is one of the best shooters in the country. These teams are very evenly matched and probably 3 seeds or higher in the tournament. End of the year I may give the edge to the Muss Bus and Arkansas, but older teams tend to be better at the beginning of the year.

TAKE: Creighton -1.5

San Diego State (+1.5) @ Arizona O/U 164.5 (Maui Invitational)

San Diego State relies heavily on their guards. Arizona relies heavily on their big guys. Both teams can score. Both teams are fairly experienced. These teams are averaging 185 points per game currently and play fast. Im gonna take the points though on this one.

TAKE: SDSU (+1.5) and Over 164.5

Overall NCAAB Record: 0-0-0
