Bets and Breakfast: Super Wild Card Saturday

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks (+9.5) O/U 42

10 years ago if this game wasnt an instant classic it would be upsetting. Unfortunately for Seattle I just dont think they are there yet. Seattle has some really good building blocks from a really talented draft class. They have all the tools to have a big offseason as well. This game however is probably the one where we say “Yeah maybe Geno isnt the guy”. Thats no shade to Geno either. He has had a great season and is one of the best stories in sports this year.

San Francisco punches Geno in the jaw early here (pun intended) and coasts in this one. Something to keep an eye on is the weather where its looking like a its going to be in the 50s and raining. 9.5 is a lot of points on a rainy day. Im gonna play it safe and take the under here.

PICK: Under 42

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Los Angeles Chargers (-2) O/U 47.5

Credit to Doug Pederson for reviving this team and getting Trevor Lawrence back on track. One year after having the number one overall pick and one of the all time worst NFL head coaches they have a home playoff game.

The Chargers have once again, just like in the mid 2000’s, assembled one of the best rosters I have seen. But Chargers gonna Charger. Injuries and coaching mistakes as always have held this team back. If someone can explain to me Brandon Staley playing starters the whole game last week, when the outcome of the game did not matter, let me know. It lead to Mike Williams going down and missing this game. The thing is he doesnt do that in the preseason, so why before the postseason? Makes no sense to me, but Im just a shitty blogger.

This game is the end of Staley. Take the Jags with the points. This is also a shootout in Florida. Take the over

PICK: Jags +2 and Over 47.5
