LeBron James will wear his own name on his own jersey. Now that you are in your seats, this is somehow one of the biggest news stories in sports right now. This just in: Anthony Davis will also wear his own name on his own jersey.

Listen I understand that there are in fact social justice issues going on right now. But is the NBA allowing players to bring attention to those issues through the name on their jersey really a big deal? For example, Spencer Dinwiddie, Guard for the Nets, was going to have “Trillions” on the back of his jersey instead of “Dinwiddie” to bring attention to the fact that the country is in debt. That is prior to him being ruled out due to COVID. But like is anyone not aware that the country is in debt? Also is anyone not aware that LeBron supports the BLM movement? I feel like all of this has been documented pretty well.

I guess I understand that there is not a whole lot going on right now so people have to report on something. This might be the biggest non story of the bubble though.
